I\u2019m not sure what possessed me to buy Yoshi. I had no idea what type of game it was, but the branding worked. \u00a0Likely my curiosity was piqued since the character was introduced on the Super Nintendo yet had an entire NES game dedicated to him.<\/p>\n

Turns out, it\u2019s a falling-block puzzle game! I\u2019ve never been much of a puzzle fan, but this game in particular is quite dull. \u00a0You put down the bottom of a Yoshi egg shell, stack monsters on top of it, and then close it off with the top half of the shell. \u00a0The more monsters you trap inside the egg, the more points you get.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure after enough time it speeds up and gets more challenging, but it lacks a greater depth I\u2019d expect from games in the genre.<\/p>\n

But who knows, maybe there\u2019s some extreme Yoshi tournament scene out there\u2026 somewhere\u2026<\/p>\n
